On May 20th Custom Printers hosted over 300 of our closest friends during an Open House to introduce new ownership, our new brand, our new press, our growing staff, and a resurgent attitude and enthusiasm. To kick off the event, NewPage Papers, in conjunction with Xpedx, presented a seminar on sustainability in the printing industry. Among the many highlights of the event, attendees caught a sneak preview of the soon to be distributed /SPOT ON CREATIVE JOURNAL, a compilation of images and graphic interpretations of the term spot on. Also on hand was the staff from Art Prize, including founder Rick DeVos for a live unveiling of the 2010 Art Prize Poster. Helping us celebrate were many local dignitaries including Grand Rapids Mayor, George Heartwell and local printing icon Ted Etheridge. At the end of the event a drawing was held to give away a new Apple iPad. We are happy to say that Michelle Musser of The National Heritage Academies was the lucky winner. Congratulations Michelle!
