Is Your Website Mobile Friendly?
By Custom Printers
Have you thought about it? One of the current trending stats is that more people around the world own a mobile device than a toothbrush. Go ahead, Google it. As disturbing as that sounds, it should cause you to think about your mobile presence.
Here a few other things to consider:
There are 271 Million mobile subscribers in the US.
There are 5 times as many cellphones in the world as PCs.
25% of Americans use only mobile devices to access the internet.
The average person has their cellphone within reach 14 hours a day.
70% of mobile searches lead to action within one hour. It takes a month for the same percentage of desktop users to take action.
Most mobile users are typically, well…..mobile, having a very specific and immediate need, a smaller display, less functionality and less patience than the desktop user. The mobile visitor is likely looking for directions, a click-to-call phone number or contact information with little interest in your corporate philosophy or PDF’s of your latest press release. So if you don’t have a mobile friendly site, you may be frustrating them by making them spend too much time finding the information they need.
What’s the difference? Mobile friendly sites, at bare minimum, have a simplified layout, easier navigation, edited content, and device appropriate graphics. For example, take a look at the Custom Printers website below or try it out on your mobile device.
It makes sense that to effectively promote your brand, you must understand your targeted user and have very clear marketing goals when building your site. To assure a favorable user experience, provide the visitor with easy access to information like phone numbers, email addresses and maps.
